The Life and Music of Igor Stravinsky Essays The Life and Music of Igor Stravinsky Essay The Life and Music of Igor Stravinsky Essay Igor Stravinsky was conceived in Russia on June 5, 1882 to Feodor Stravinsky. His first instruction in music came through being shown piano exercises at his home. He would later go to St. Petersburg University where he would facilitate his melodic instruction. His first generous music composing was in E Flat and it was called â€Å"The Firebird. † After this show was appeared by an artful dance and was a triumph, he composed Petruska. His next significant music scene was his third expressive dance called â€Å"The Rite of Spring. † This denoted the start of innovation in music and made Stravinsky the most persuasive writer of that time. After these three ballet performances came The Nightingale, Renard, the Soldier’s Tale, and Symphonies of Wind. All of which showed up quickly and Stravinsky’s achievement proceeded. In 1920, Stravinsky settled in France and took his citizenship there in 1934. Anyway in 1938 he encountered the demise of his little girl, his mom, and his significant other. With the war coming rapidly and the way that it was unavoidable, Stravinsky and his new life partner moved to the United States. They went through a year living on the east coast while Igor addressed at Harvard University and afterward they moved to California where they would experience the remainder of their lives. Throughout the following two decades Stravinsky composed Pulcinella, the Fairy’s Kiss, Apollon Musagete, Oedipus Rex, and the Symphonies of Pslams. At that point, in 1957, Stravinsky’s music changed style’s with the creation of Agon, which was the principal work that got a handle on serialism completely. The central works that included Stravinsky’s serialism were Threni, the Flood, Abraham and Issac, Variations for Orchestra, and Requiem Canticles. Stravinsky proceeded with his vocation until 1967 when mature age and disease shielded him from working. He kicked the bucket on April 6, 1971.
